Certified local business partners representing Archipelago were introducing their wilderness together with their ecological handmade crisp bread and nice orange coloured carrot-pumpkin jam to visitors of the Matka Travel Fair in Helsinki.

Photo: Pensar SydThis was the first grand introduction of the certified businesses as PAN Parks  partners after their verification in December 2009. In Archipelago National Park there are three local business partners who based on environmental standards and their commitment to wilderness protection are recognised by the PAN Parks logo. They are knowledgeable about the park and help visitors discover wilderness firsthand. The marine park (PAN Park since 2008) offers excellent opportunities for unforgettable experiences in the great outdoors among others sailing, diving, hiking, biking, paddling or canoeing.

The fair where PAN Parks was also presented attracted more than 80,000 visitors and based on the number of visitors, Matka is the largest travel fair in Northern Europe. Visitors had a chance not only to get a taste of PAN Parks and the Archipelago but also the ecological handmade crisp bread and nice orange coloured carrot-pumpkin jam - a typical specialty prepared by our partners.
